The AIIMS NORCET 11 admit card for 2026 has been issued: download your Stage 1 Nursing Officer hall ticket and check the CBT exam times on 12 September at aiimsexams.ac.in

For those who have signed up for NORCET 11, the following four days are more important than the four months of preparation that came before. The AIIMS NORCET 11 Admit Card 2026 was made available on 9 September 2026 and the Stage 1 CBT will take place on 12 September 2026 at various exam centres in India. The one hall ticket you receive includes information about your exam centre, your reporting shift, and most important of all the login details that you'll need before AIIMS closes the portal on the day of the exam.

This year the exam is being conducted using a strict sectional timer, and that single decision affects the way in which you should tackle the paper as compared to the nursing exams you took previously. The following points have so far been confirmed — the steps for downloading the exam, the rules to observe on the day of the exam, the structure of the sectional timing, and the actual cost to you of getting a question wrong.

The Rule Every Candidate Needs to Read Before 12 September

The differences between this year's NORCET and a normal MCQ exam are as follows, and they might be overlooked if you quickly go through the admit card instructions.

The Stage 1 paper, which lasts 90 minutes, is divided into five sections with 20 questions in each section and each section is given exactly 18 minutes. When the 18-minute time limit for a section ends, that section automatically submits itself and you cannot go back; it is not possible to finish a question that has not been answered in Section 2 while you are in Section 3. The questions that have been answered when the timer reaches zero are the ones that count, all the others are recorded as unattempted.

Your approach to the exam has to be entirely different. In a standard 90-minute paper you would normally deal with your slower topics towards the end. In this case, however, if General Knowledge and Aptitude questions appear in an early section and you spend too long second-guessing a single question, you will lose all the other questions in that section forever, with no possibility of coming back to them later in the exam.

If a one-third negative marking penalty is applied for each incorrect answer, guessing quickly becomes a costly option. In fact, three wrong guesses result in the loss of a full mark—a amount big enough to cause a noticeable change in your rank in an examination in which thousands of candidates are competing for a limited number of qualifying positions.

How to Download AIIMS NORCET 11 Admit Card 2026

  1. Visit the official AIIMS examinations website at aiimsexams.ac.in.
  2. On the homepage, check the section headed 'Important Announcements' for the notice stating: 'Admit Card for Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-11)'.
  3. By clicking on the link, you will be directed to the NORCET-11 Admit Card Download page.
  4. Input your Candidate ID (or registration number) and password together with the captcha code which is shown.
  5. Click Login/Submit.
  6. The admit card will appear on the screen. Before downloading it, check all the details — your name, photograph, roll number, the exam date, the reporting time, and the centre address.
  7. Get the PDF and make sure you have at least two clear printed copies.

Admit cards will not be posted; AIIMS will send only an SMS and email notification when the card is live – you will have to download the actual document from the portal yourself.

If You Can't Log In

On the same login page, select the 'Forgot Candidate ID/Password' option. Recovery of access will require the mobile number or email address associated with your registration. It's not a good idea to wait until the evening before the exam to deal with this — the helpline and the portal become very busy in the 24 hours leading up to a CBT of this scale.

Any category or PwBD certificate mentioned as mandatory on your specific admit card

You should arrive well in advance of the reporting time on your card since the entry closing time is strict, gate checks at CBT centres involving biometric and frisking procedures regularly turn away candidates who arrive as little as 10 to 15 minutes after the cutoff.

AIIMS NORCET 11 Stage 2 Exam Pattern 2026 (For Reference)

The only candidates who pass Stage 1 will advance to Stage 2 on 30 September 2026, and it is this stage which determines your final merit and All India Rank.

Although your score in Stage 1 does not show up on your final scorecard since it is just a qualifying stage, you still have to meet the category-wise qualifying percentile if you want to take Stage 2. You shouldn't regard the sectional timer as a problem that only affects Stage 2; the same rule applies from your very first CBT attempt on 12 September.
