CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2027: Exams Start February 16 and End April 9

The CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2027 came out on November 6, 2026. Theory papers start on February 16, 2027 with Physics and finish on April 9, according to Sarkarimocktest's breakdown of the official notice. From November 7, that leaves 101 days before the first paper.
Every paper begins at 10:30 AM IST, and the main subjects run until 1:30 PM. About 19.8 lakh students registered across 121 subjects, so the full PDF is long. Most of you only need five or six dates from it.

Science: the 26-day gap after Chemistry
Physics on February 16 and Chemistry on February 27 sit 11 days apart. Mathematics follows on March 9, ten days after Chemistry. Biology doesn't arrive until March 25, which is 26 days after Chemistry and 16 days after Mathematics.
That Biology gap is the part of the science schedule that worries me. A free fortnight feels like a gift, and with Mathematics looming on March 9 it's easy to spend every one of those days on Maths while Biology quietly waits. Biology rewards memory more than speed, and a chapter you leave alone for three weeks is a chapter you relearn.
A better split: give the first week after February 27 to Biology, spend the days before March 9 on Maths, then return to Biology for a second full pass. PCM students have a different squeeze. English Core on March 5 leaves only four days before Mathematics, so keep Maths practice running through the English week.
Gaps shown here apply to students who take those specific subjects together. If you carry an elective such as Computer Science, check its date in the PDF before building a plan.
Commerce and Humanities
Commerce students open with Accountancy on February 23, then wait ten days for English Core on March 5. Economics follows on March 16 and Business Studies closes the stream on April 1. That 16-day stretch between the last two is the commerce version of the Biology gap, so treat it the same way.
Humanities has the tighter start. Geography on February 25 and Psychology on March 2 are five days apart, which leaves little room to carry Geography revision into Psychology prep. Political Science comes on March 19 and History on March 27, an eight-day gap that suits a map-heavy subject like History.
Dates that portals disagree on
Aggregator sites disagree. Most list Sociology on March 30 and Computer Science on March 31, but one summary of the date sheet shows March 2 and March 3 for the same subjects. The table above leaves both out until the official PDF settles it.
CBSE says it checked more than 40,000 subject combinations so that commonly chosen pairs don't fall on the same day. An unusual combination is where a clash is most likely to hide, so read the line for each of your subject codes.
Practicals come first
For winter-bound schools, practicals, projects and internal assessments run from November 9 to December 19, 2026. Regular schools start on January 1, 2027, according to Business Standard's report on the practical notification. The paper says CBSE will send regular schools a separate circular, and your school sets your own day.
Sarkarimocktest lists February 13 as the end of the regular window, which would put practicals right before Physics. Treat that as unconfirmed until your school tells you.
CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Fee Structure
Schools handle the registration fee during the LOC submission phase. If you are a private candidate, you will pay these fees directly via the CBSE portal. Below are the standard charges applicable for the board exams.
- Fee for 5 Main Subjects: Rs. 1500/- (For Indian students)
- Fee for Additional Subject (6th subject): Rs. 300/-
- Practical Examination Fee: Rs. 150/- per practical subject
- Migration Certificate Fee: Rs. 350/-
- Late Fee (if LOC missed): Rs. 2000/- (per candidate)
*Note: Visually impaired candidates are totally exempted from paying the examination fee.

- Find the notice titled CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2027 for Class X and Class XII Board Examinations, 2027.
- Open the PDF and look for the Class 12 section.
- Match each subject code with the subjects on your school record.
- Save a copy, since the link can move once newer notices go up.
What to do this week
Print the CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2027 PDF and circle your subject codes. Write every paper on a wall calendar, count the days between each pair, and mark any gap under seven days in a second colour. Those are the stretches that need a written revision plan before the first practical in January.
