ICAI’s notice had promised the result by evening. It was live before 11 AM, so anyone who waited for dinner was the last to know.

- Download the scorecard and keep a printed copy.
If the site crawls, wait a few minutes and try again, as Sarkarimocktest advised, because result day traffic is heavy. To pass, you needed at least 40% in every paper and 50% overall. With four papers of 100 marks each, that means 40 in each paper and 200 out of 400 in total.
What the 18.93% pass rate does and doesn’t tell you
The rate sits just under the last two sessions and well above September 2025. Numbers from Sarkarimocktest Live show the pattern.
| Session | Appeared | Passed | Pass percentage |
|---|---|---|---|
| September 2026 | 1,04,240 | 19,736 | 18.93% |
| May 2026 | 90,217 | 18,124 | 20.09% |
| January 2026 | 1,09,694 | 21,099 | 19.23% |
| September 2025 | 98,827 | 14,609 | 14.78% |
More people passed this time than in May 2026 (19,736 against 18,124), even though the rate dipped, because about 14,000 more candidates sat the papers. A lower percentage on a bigger pool isn’t the same as a harder paper.
The gender gap is wider than in most coverage. Men passed at 20.47% (10,931 of 53,398) and women at 17.32% (8,805 of 50,842), a gap of roughly three points. The figures I found don’t split first attempts from repeat attempts, so they can’t say why.

Fees
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| January 2027 exam form (Indian centres) | ₹1,500 |
| Late fee (16 to 19 November) | ₹600 |
| Total with late fee | ₹2,100 |
| Verification of marks | ₹50 per paper |
| Certified copy of answer book | ₹100 per paper |
The exam fee is ₹1,500 for Indian centres, and the verification fee dropped to ₹50 per paper after ICAI revised it. ICAI refunds that fee if your marks change.
Verification is cheap, so if you missed the 200 mark by a handful, I’d apply. Just know what you’re buying: it isn’t a full re-evaluation, so expect a check of totals and unmarked answers, not a fresh read of your paper.

If you didn’t pass, the date that matters is Monday, 16 November. Log in to the Self Service Portal this week and pay the ₹1,500 then, because waiting for 19 November costs ₹600 more and leaves no room if the portal hangs. If you did pass, keep an eye on icai.org for the Intermediate registration details.
