NEET UG 2027 Exam Pattern: 180 Compulsory Questions vs Previous Formats

The Shift to 180 Compulsory MCQs (Removal of Section B Optional Dilemma)
For the last few years the NTA has supplied 200 questions, these being divided into Section A (which contained 35 questions all of which the candidates were required to answer) and Section B (which had 15 questions out of which the candidates selected 10).

- Set up an error budget with the aim of keeping the total number of errors at 10 or fewer (that is, no more than 3 in Biology, no more than 3 in Chemistry, and no more than 4 in Physics).
- Accept leaving questions blank. If you see a question that uses a formula or idea you do not know, leave it blank. Skipping a question saves you from losing 1 mark. This could drop your rank by hundreds of places.
