UPPSC RO ARO Form Fill Up 2026: How to Apply by 26 November

You have until 26 November, a graduate degree, and possibly no OTR number yet. That last gap catches people out, because the UPPSC RO ARO form fill up 2026 needs an OTR number that is at least 72 hours old.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission opened applications on 26 October for 501 posts under Advt. A-4/E-1/2026. The form and the fee both close on 26 November, and corrections run until 3 December. Everything happens online at uppsc.up.nic.in, and General candidates pay ₹125 at the prelims stage (OBC and EWS pay the same).

Start with the OTR, because it feeds the whole form

The commission will not accept an application without a One Time Registration number from otr.pariksha.nic.in, and Sarkarimocktest application guide says it must be in hand at least 72 hours before you apply. For a 26 November submission, that means registering by about 23 November. Do it this week and the problem disappears.

What you type into the OTR matters more than most candidates realise. Category, sub-category, domicile, gender, date of birth, EWS and creamy layer status, name and address are all pulled from it, and Sarkarimocktest.co notes they count as they stand on the last date. If you change something in the OTR later, you have to synchronise it on the Candidate Dashboard, or the form keeps the old value.

Two details deserve a second look before you register. A woman claiming caste-based reservation needs a certificate issued from her father’s side. And reservation and age relaxation are only for permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh, so a reserved-category candidate from another state applies as unreserved.

UPPSC RO ARO form fill up 2026, step by step

  1. Open uppsc.up.nic.in, go to All Notifications/Advertisements, then Online Advertisements, and pick the RO ARO advertisement.
  2. Click Apply and choose Authenticate with O.T.R. Enter your OTR number and confirm with an OTP or your OTR password.
  3. Check the personal details fetched from your OTR and fill in your educational qualifications.
  4. On the Candidate Dashboard, click Submit Details under Application Part-2.
  5. Review the form, confirm your address and qualifications, and move to payment.
  6. Pay through SBI MOPS. If the money leaves your account but the status stays pending, use the Pending Payment option on the dashboard to retry.
  7. Agree to the declaration and submit. Then print the submission report and the application form.

You also need a photograph and signature ready, plus category or reservation certificates if you claim them. Nothing goes to the commission by post at this stage. Self-attested documents are asked for with the mains application or whenever the commission requests them.

Are you eligible? Check before you pay

The qualification is a bachelor’s degree, an ‘O’ Level certificate (or an equivalent) and Hindi typing at 25 words per minute, according to RealMocks’ summary of the notification. For the UPPSC’s own posts, a Diploma in Computer Science also works instead of ‘O’ Level. The Account posts want a B.Com with Accountancy. Anyone still waiting to sit the qualifying exam is not eligible.

The age limit is 21 to 40 on 1 July 2026, which means a birth date between 2 July 1986 and 1 July 2005. Uttar Pradesh candidates in the SC, ST or OBC categories get five more years, and so do UP state government employees. Disabled candidates from UP can go up to 55.

The typing requirement is the one people forget. Of the 501 posts, 131 are Review Officer and 329 are Assistant Review Officer, so most of the vacancies carry it. Start practising now rather than after the mains.

What you are applying for

The posts sit in pay Level 5 to Level 8, from ₹29,200 up to ₹1,51,100, per the notification as summarised by Sarkarimocktest. The prelims is a single 200 mark paper over three hours: 140 General Studies questions and 60 General Hindi questions, with one third of a mark deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates equal to 15 times the vacancies move on to the mains.

The mains has four descriptive papers of 200 marks each, and final selection rests on the mains total alone. The prelims only screens. SC and ST candidates need at least 35% in each stage and everyone else needs 40%. Clearing the prelims is necessary, but the mains total decides your rank, so writing practice counts for more than the screening score.

What the form costs

At the prelims stage, UR, EWS and OBC candidates pay ₹125, made up of ₹100 for the exam and ₹25 for processing. SC and ST candidates pay ₹65, ex-servicemen pay ₹65, and disabled candidates pay only the ₹25 processing fee. Women and dependents of freedom fighters pay as per their original category.

Only those who qualify the prelims fill a second form for the mains, with a separate ₹225 fee for those same groups.

Corrections: one edit, one deadline

The correction window closes on 3 December, according to Sarkarimocktest. You can change the qualification part of a submitted application only once. The identity and category fields pulled from your OTR must be right by that date, and the commission says it will not entertain requests afterwards.

So treat the first submission as the real one.

The commission rejects forms for the usual reasons: a missing or wrong date of birth, a missing photograph or signature, not meeting the age or qualification rules, or filing after the deadline. Concealing or misstating information can also lead to debarment for up to five years.

What happened to the last cycle

The previous exam (Advt. A-7/E-1/2023) took close to two and a half years. 'Sarkarimocktest’ time line says it was notified for 411 posts on 9 October 2023. The first prelims on 11 February 2024 was cancelled by the state government on 2 March 2024 after a paper leak, and the re-exam came on 27 July 2025. Mains followed on 2 and 3 February 2026, and the final result in April 2026 selected 419 candidates.

About 10.76 lakh people had applied for that cycle, which works out to roughly 2,600 applicants per advertised post. This time there are 501 posts, 90 more than before, and the notice says the count can still change before the prelims result.

Open this first

Before you touch the application, log in to your OTR profile and compare the category and domicile on screen, and your date of birth, against your certificates. Those fields are the ones you cannot fix after 3 December.
