🕮 Part A – General English (30 Marks)
इंग्लिश पेपर उम्मीदवार की भाषा दक्षता (Language Proficiency), समझ (Comprehension) और व्याकरणिक शुद्धता (Grammar Accuracy) पर केंद्रित है।
मुख्य विषय:- Grammar and Usage: Tenses, Articles, Nouns, Pronouns, Adjectives and Adverbs, Prepositions, Subject-Verb Agreement, Active and Passive Voice, Direct and Indirect Speech.
- Vocabulary: Synonyms & Antonyms, One-word Substitution, Spelling Correction, Word Formation & Usage.
- Comprehension & Interpretation: Reading Comprehension Passage, Inference-based Questions, Context-based Vocabulary.
- Sentence Skills: Spot the Error / Sentence Correction, Rearrangement of Sentences, Cloze Test.
- Writing Ability (Objective Form): Suitable word usage, Detection of inappropriate phrases or words.
🕮 Part B – General Hindi (70 Marks)
हिन्दी पेपर उम्मीदवार की भाषा-व्यवहार, व्याकरण, शुद्धलेखन और पठन–लेखन कौशल को मापता है।
मुख्य विषय:- व्याकरण (Grammar): संधि, समास, तत्सम–तद्भव, संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, विशेषण, क्रिया, क्रियाविशेषण, उपसर्ग और प्रत्यय, लिंग, वचन, कारक, काल, वाक्य-अशुद्धियाँ एवं शुद्धिकरण, वाक्य-विन्यास और विराम चिन्ह।
- शब्द ज्ञान (Vocabulary): पर्यायवाची, विलोम, समोच्चारित भिन्नार्थक शब्द, मुहावरे और लोकोक्तियाँ, एक शब्द के लिए अनेक शब्द।
- पठन कौशल (Comprehension): अपठित गद्यांश पर प्रश्न, गद्यांश का आशय और भावार्थ निकालना।
- लेखन कौशल (Writing Skill): वाक्य-संशोधन (Sentence Correction), उपयुक्त शब्द / वाक्यांश का प्रयोग।
महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य: प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर पर 1/3 अंक की नेगेटिव मार्किंग होगी। इस पेपर के अंक फाइनल मेरिट में नहीं जोड़े जाते, परंतु इसे पास करना अनिवार्य है।
